MICHAEL MORRIS - PROFILE
 Michael Morris is one of the areas most successful bodywork therapists. Having started out practising sports massage, Michael furthered his studies at the prestigious Northern Institute of Massage, completing his Advanced Remedial Massage and Manipulative Therapy courses. Moving away from working within professional sport, Michael opted to concentrate solely on clinical treatment.
Looking for something else to complement his work, and further his studies, Michael studied the Bowen Technique. His enthusiasm for learning continued when he completed a BSc(hons) degree through the Open University, undertaken in just over three years, whilst still running a busy clinic. Shortly afterwards, Michael started a new challenge - that of teaching Bowen for the European College of Bowen Studies. The eighteen month in-house teacher training, plus studying towards a PGCE through New College Stamford gave Michael the confidence and knowledge required to take his learning to the next level - that of passing down his experience to others.
The next chapter is just beginning, and Michael is embarking on a Masters in Research through Warwick University, studying the effects of Bowen on Low Back Pain.
Michael, 30, is married to his beautiful wife, Charlotte, a primary school teacher, and together they share a wonderful son, George, and at the time of writing, are expecting their second child at the end of May. Michael has lived in Spalding all his life, attended Spalding Grammar School, and is now a Governor there, representing the SGS Old Boys Association. He is also a Level 2 hockey coach, and Level 1 hockey umpire, and still plays hockey for Spalding Hockey Club when family and work commitments allow.
